Informational Session: Teaching for Black Lives Study Groups
August 11 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT
Jesse Hagopian, Teaching for Black Lives co-editor and Rethinking Schools editor, will facilitate a 50-minute informational session for educators interested in forming a Teaching for Black Lives study group in their school, district, or statewide. Participants will hear from study group coordinators, Alana Ward, Uniserv Director for The SCEA in North Charleston, South Carolina; Jenifer King, elementary teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada; and Laura Ellis, high school librarian in Rockville, Maryland.
