America at 250: Teach Truth — A Teach-In

Join Rethinking Schools editors and contributors for a teach-in on teaching truthfully about the American Revolution amid the pageantry of patriotism during the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This conversation will focus on teaching strategies and critical questions that unearth the voices of dissent from the U.S. past and present.  

Given the intersecting crises, such as the backlash against social justice education, ongoing genocide, authoritarian rule, and more—it is imperative that we equip students with tools for a truthful examination of the American Revolution so we can collectively shape a more just future.
