How do I cancel a magazine subscription?
Rethinking Schools magazine subscriptions continue without interruption. Your subscription will continue as long as you wish – unless you tell us otherwise. Please email orders@rethinkingschools.org or call 1-800-669-4192 to cancel your magazine subscription.
What is your return policy?
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase we’ll promptly exchange it or refund your purchase price within 30 days of delivery to you. To return items from your Rethinking Schools order, please contact orders@rethinkingschools.org with the order number and reason for the return. Returns must be made within 30 days of delivery to you.

Please Note:
- Returns apply only to those items purchased from Rethinking Schools. It does not apply to books bought at another bookseller, online, or retail store.
- We can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error in shipping, or if an item arrived in damaged or defective condition.
- If a digital product has been downloaded, a refund will not be furnished.
How do I request a quote or submit a purchase order?
If you are a bookstore or wholesaler, please reference our Wholesaler and Retailer Return Policy.
To request a quote for a bulk purchase, email orders@rethinkingschools.org with the title(s), and quantity of books being requested. If you do not have a collect account with UPS or FedEx, include the shipping city, state, and zip code.
All purchase orders must be submitted to orders@rethinkingschools.org, PO’s will not be accepted through mail, or over the phone. We do not work with third-party EDI services such as PubNet. If you are a Follett Higher Education store, EDI is not available to you, please submit your PO via email.
If you would like your order to be shipped using a FedEx, or UPS collect account, indicate the carrier, the account number, and if you would like standard, 2 day, or next day shipping. If your PO needs to be shipped 2nd or next day, indicate that in the subject of your email.
Indicate the appropriate email for invoices to be addressed to in the body of your email.
How do I request permission to use a Rethinking Schools magazine article or book excerpt with my class?
Permissions for articles or book excerpts for academic classroom use are processed through the Copyright Clearance Center. Please Visit https://marketplace.copyright.com/, search for Rethinking Schools and request pay-per-use permission.
For non-classroom licensing inquiries (such as republication or translation rights), please contact orders@rethinkingschools.org.
If you would like to assign a complete book for your course, students may purchase digital copies directly at the Rethinking Schools website, eBook distributors, or digital course content providers such as VitalSource.
Institutional site licenses can also be purchased to provide unlimited access to the web-accessible versions of all magazine articles.
