Vikki Law on Myths About Mass Incarceration

On Monday, March 14, 2022, journalist Victoria Law will address prison resistance and myths about incarceration.

Victoria Law is a journalist who researches and writes about incarceration, gender, and resistance. She is the author of “Prisons Make Us Safer” and 20 Other Myths About Mass IncarcerationResistance Behind Bars: The Struggles of Incarcerated Women, and the co-author of Prison by Any Other Name. Law is a co-founder of Books Through Bars–NYC and editor of the zine Tenacious: Art and Writings by Women in Prison.

Law will be in conversation with Rethinking Schools editor and high school teacher Jesse Hagopian.
