Spring 2003 February 24, 2003 As educators who support the principles of peaceful solutions to conflict, we strongly support the efforts of many groups and organizations that are encouraging the United States to act only in concert with the United Nations. Protecting children is our number one priority. Whereas, a war with Iraq would require the re-direction of vital resources Therefore, be it resolved that the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers goes on record as opposing war with Iraq. Be it further resolved that the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers urges
its members and affiliates to get involved with organizations working
toward Spring 2003 |
